Biography
Johanna E. Sheehe serves as Of Counsel to the Jordan Legal Group in matters related to insurance defense. Ms. Sheehe is a litigator with experience defending insurance companies, homeowners, and corporations. Her practice comprises insurance defense, including third-party and first-party claims, and commercial litigation. In her third-party practice, Ms. Sheehe has defended homeowners against claims of negligence and wrongful death. Ms. Sheehe’s first-party practice spans the State of Florida and has focused on claims arising out of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Michael. In 2021, Ms. Sheehe was recognized for her excellence in civil litigation by Lawyers of Distinction.
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Sheehe serves as an adjunct professor at Florida International University’s College of Law in the Legal Skills and Values Program. Ms. Sheehe is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified County Mediator. Before entering private practice, Ms. Sheehe served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel M. Flaum, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Honorable James B. Zagel, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Ms. Sheehe’s legal perspective has been featured in publications such as Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business, Daily Business Review, Lawyer Monthly, Risk & Insurance Magazine, Elite Equestrian, and Arabian Horse Times.
Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Sheehe is a National Champion equestrian, lifelong horse enthusiast, and owner of Arabian and Half-Arabian horses.
